WHAT IS FLOOR LEVELING?

Floor leveling is carried out in order to make the surface uniform and even. To perform this procedure, a pre-prepared solution for covering and leveling concrete floors is used, the thickness of which can reach 20 mm, or, if this is not possible, a mixture of water, cement and sand. Before application, the surface must be stable, cleaned of paint, any type of veneer, oil and dirt that prevents the material from adhering correctly.
Floor leveling is a necessary and mandatory event for any area of a residential premises. They must be leveled from bathrooms, kitchens, halls, bedrooms, living rooms, dining rooms, laundries, gardens, parking lots, commercial floors, concrete stairs, terraces, etc.
This activity is preliminary before laying any type of floor covering such as ceramic, porcelain, laminate, rubber, vinyl and even for laying carpets or rugs.

In many homes, especially after renovation, it is quite common for unevenness or irregularities to appear on the walls. The use of different paints in different parts of the same room, the building's own structural defects, a boarded-up door or window, or a simple chip in the wall are just a few examples that can cause a wall to become uneven.
Walls form the largest part of the visible structure of a house. Unlike floors, which can be laid with different materials, and ceilings, which can be covered with a suspended ceiling, uneven walls cannot be hidden.
Uneven walls are easier to notice if they are not decorated with rugs or other objects that distract our attention.
Before you start the leveling process, it is important to make sure that the wall is clean and free of dust. You can then use a level to check whether the wall is level or not. If the wall is uneven, you can start working on it.
One of the most common methods of leveling a wall is the use of a leveling mortar. This is made up of cement, sand and water and is applied to the areas of the wall that need to be leveled. Once applied, it is allowed to dry for a certain period of time and then sanded to create a smooth and even surface.
Another method is to use a plasterboard system. These panels are lightweight, easy to handle and fit over the existing wall. Once installed, they are leveled and fixed in place. A layer of mortar is then applied to the panels to provide a smooth and even surface.
